The vintage "Corps de Loup" is a wine from a selection of patch in Côte Blonde. Only vineyards situated on the slopes on the side of estate produce the vintage "Corps de Loup". The proportion of new barrels is defined according to the tannic intensity. This figure does not exceed 30%, to keep our wines a strong fruity flavor.
2004 Vintage
The yield is 39 hl/ha. This suggests that on this land, the vines have begun to recover from the heatwave of summer 2003. But unlike the latter vintage, 2004 benefits from a more conventional sugar/acid ratio. This gives the wine an aging capacity up to 10 years. Its smell is very fruity, recalling red fruits. The taste is liquorice and toasted, it will surprise you by its length in the mouth and with the successive structured arrival of the aromas.
2005 Vintage
Presentation: The result of a dry and sunny summer. The Côte Rôtie associates a great concentration of colors and aromas with a good supple taste. It will nicely accompany a plate of cheese, a piece of beef or game.
Tasting advice: This Côte Rôtie will be at its peak between 2009 and 2011. It must be served at room temperature. It requires proper aeration to allow it to open up and reveal all its rich aroma. The aeration should be longer if the wine is drunk young.
